South Sudan's Atlabara came from a goal down to draw with Zanzibar's KMKM in the opening game of the 2014 Kagame Cup played at Amahoro stadium, Kigali.
It was a game of own goals as Mutakawil scored in his own net in the 30th minute before Makame Haji equalised at the death in the first half.
Atlabara coached by Ugandan Leo Adraa were a dominant force in the first half but were unlucky to fell behind on the half hour mark thanks to panick in the backline which saw them concede an own goal from Mutawakil.
They however got a reply at the end of the first half after marauding right back Al Haji Juma Jackson beat three backs before laying a good minus which left Makame with no chance but connect the ball into his own net.
The second period was a sea-saw action as both teams launched attacks but with no end products. At the end of it, a draw was a fair result for both teams.
