Muscat: Zanzibar's Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Ali Juma Shamhuna, along with an accompanying delegation, visited the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) as a part of their ongoing official visit to the country.
The delegation was received by Dr Ali bin Saud Al Bimani, SQU Vice Chancellor, Her Highness Sayyida Dr Muna bint Fahad Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor for External Cooperation, and other officials.
The two sides reviewed existing partnerships between SQU and higher educational institutions in Zanzibar. Various opportunities of partnership, such as student and faculty exchanges, research collaboration and joint conferences, were also discussed. After watching a video, which explained the development and current activities of SQU, the visiting minister praised the progress that the university achieved during the past 25 years.
